You can now use a supported spot account to follow a channel's futures long signals with a Signals Bot. Enable Follow Futures Signals On Spot to open eligible signals as spot buy trades, without leverage.

This is useful when you want to follow a channel that posts futures setups while trading with funds in your spot account. Your trades execute in the spot market, even though their source signals were published for futures.

How it works

When the setting is enabled, Cornix checks whether the signal is a long signal from a matching futures exchange and whether its pair can be traded on your selected spot exchange. If it is eligible and passes your bot's normal rules, the bot opens a spot trade using the applicable amount-per-trade and strategy settings.

  • Long signals: Eligible futures long signals open as spot buys.

  • Leverage and margin: Futures leverage and Isolated/Cross margin settings are not applied. The spot trade uses no leverage.

  • Short signals: Skipped. This setting does not open short positions on spot.

  • Unavailable pairs: A futures listing alone is not enough; the trade must be supported on your spot exchange.

  • Regular spot signals: New regular spot signals from the channel are skipped while this setting is enabled.

  • Trade management: The spot trade stays linked to its original futures signal for supported updates and cancellations.

Important: This setting changes which signals the bot follows. It does not add futures signals on top of its regular spot signals.

How to enable or disable it

  1. In the Cornix web dashboard, go to Signals Bots > My Bots.

  2. Create a new Signals Bot, or open an existing bot's menu and select Edit.

  3. Select your signals group and a supported spot exchange account. Make sure that account has the funds and trading permissions needed for your trades.

  4. Open Advanced Settings, then the Advanced tab.

  5. In the Advanced tab, set Follow Futures Signals On Spot to On or Off. You'll find this toggle immediately after Alternative USD Pairs.

  6. Review your amount per trade and the rest of your bot settings. Save and review the confirmation explaining that futures longs will be followed on spot without leverage.

When enabled, a notice appears below the Account field in General: “Futures longs will be traded on spot, without leverage.” The Change link takes you to the setting. The information icon explains how the mode works.

When creating a new bot for a channel that mainly posts matching futures signals, the toggle may already be set to On. Review it before saving. Editing an existing bot preserves its saved choice; you can change it yourself.

Which exchanges can be matched?

The signal must include a supported futures market corresponding to your spot exchange. For example, a Binance spot bot can follow a matching Binance Futures signal. A signal available only on Bybit futures does not qualify for that Binance spot bot.

Selected spot account

Matching futures signal markets

Binance

Binance Futures and Binance coin-margined futures

Bybit Spot

Bybit USDT and Bybit inverse futures

OKX Spot

OKX Futures and OKX inverse futures

KuCoin Spot

KuCoin Futures

Bitget Spot

Bitget Futures and Bitget inverse futures

BingX Spot

BingX Futures

MEXC Spot

MEXC Futures

The pair must also be available for the spot trade. This option applies to supported spot accounts in individual Signals Bot setup; it is not a spot-margin or futures-account setting. For general exchange availability and regional restrictions, see Supported Exchanges.

Common scenarios

1. A futures long signal includes leverage

Your channel posts a Binance Futures BTC/USDT long with 10x leverage. Your Signals Bot uses a Binance spot account with this setting enabled.

Result: If BTC/USDT is supported on Binance spot and the bot's other rules allow the trade, Cornix opens a spot buy. The signal's 10x leverage is ignored. Entry, take-profit, stop-loss, and trailing behavior follow your applicable signal and bot strategy settings.

2. The price moves, but your profit differs from the channel's

As a simplified example, you buy $100 of an asset on spot at a price of $100 and sell it at $110. Your profit is $10, or 10%, before fees. If you instead sell at $90, your loss is $10, or 10%, before fees.

Result: Spot returns follow the asset's price movement without a leverage multiplier. A channel reporting leveraged futures results can show a different return. Spot and futures prices, execution, fees, and your own settings can also produce different results.

3. The channel posts a futures short

Your channel posts a short signal, even for a pair that exists on your spot exchange.

Result: The bot skips opening it. Cornix does not turn the short into a spot buy or open a short position through this feature.

4. The pair exists on futures but is unavailable on spot

The channel publishes a long for a coin that your exchange lists on futures but does not support for the spot trade.

Result: No spot trade opens. Enabling the setting does not make unavailable spot pairs tradable.

5. The channel posts both spot and futures signals

The channel publishes regular spot signals as well as futures signals.

Result: With the setting enabled, this bot follows eligible futures longs and skips new regular spot signals. With it disabled, the bot follows regular spot signals and skips futures signals. Choose the mode that matches the signals you want this bot to follow.

6. One signal is published for several matching markets

The same source signal is available for more than one matching futures market, or has both spot and futures versions.

Result: Cornix selects one matching futures source for that signal for this bot, avoiding duplicate openings from equivalent versions. Its regular spot version is skipped while the setting is enabled.

7. The original futures signal is edited or canceled

You already have a spot trade opened from a futures signal, and the channel updates or cancels that source signal.

Result: The spot trade remains linked to the original futures source and receives supported updates under the normal trade-management rules. It remains a spot long without leverage. An edit that changes the direction to short is not applied as a spot short.

A new short signal may also cause the original futures long signal to close under the channel's normal opposite-signal rules. If that happens, its linked spot trade can be closed or canceled too. Skipping a new short opening does not prevent closure of an existing long whose source signal has closed.

8. You enable the setting while an older regular spot trade is open

Your bot opened a regular spot trade before you enabled futures-on-spot mode.

Result: That existing trade can still receive updates and cancellations from its original spot signal. The new setting changes eligibility for new trade openings; it does not convert that existing trade into a futures trade.

FAQ and troubleshooting

Why did an eligible long signal still not open?

Check that the bot is active, the setting is enabled, the signal includes a matching futures exchange, and the pair is supported on your spot exchange. Then check your available spot funds, account trading permissions, allowed symbols, amount-per-trade rules, simultaneous-trade limits, operation hours, and other filters. This setting does not bypass those requirements.

Why does the trade still reference a futures signal?

The futures signal is the source used to manage the trade. The actual orders execute through your selected spot account. Seeing a futures source does not mean your spot trade uses leverage.

Can I use the channel's leverage on my spot account?

No. This mode executes without leverage regardless of the leverage shown in the source signal.

Where should my funds be?

Make the required funds available to the selected spot account. Funds held only in a separate futures wallet are not available for these spot trades. See Make Sure You Have the Right Funds in the Right Wallet.

Why can't I see the setting?

Open an individual Signals Bot with a supported spot account and check its Advanced tab. The option is not shown for unrelated spot exchanges, spot-margin or futures accounts, other bot types, channel configuration, or bulk bot forms.

Does enabling it change how the channel publishes signals?

No. It changes how this Signals Bot follows eligible signals. The original channel signal remains a futures signal; Cornix does not publish an additional spot signal for it.
