We highly recommend using our ByBit Quick Connect for seamless integration with just one click and no hassle. This integration requires you to connect to your ByBit account and will create your API key automatically with the required permissions (including for a Unified Trading Account).

Note: connecting a ByBit UTA (Unified Trading Account) will require additional permissions as detailed at the end of this article.

For manual API creation, please follow these steps:

Step 1 - Enter the API section

Start by clicking your user icon, then enter the API section

Step 2 - Click 'Create New Key'

Under the API management, click 'Create New Key' and choose 'System-generated API Keys'.

Step 3 - Choose 'Connect to Third-Party Applications' and select 'Cornix'

Choose the 'Connect to Third-Party Applications' option and use the dropdown to select 'Cornix'.

Step 4 - Set the API Permissions

Proceed to set up the API connection permissions under the 'API permissions (check all that apply)' section.

Select the 'Read-Write' option
Under 'Contract' choose 'Orders' and 'Positions'
Under 'Spot' choose 'Trade'
Click 'Submit'

Step 5 - Security Verification

You will be requested to pass a Security Verification:

Step 6 - Copy your keys to Cornix

Copy the 'API Key' and 'Secret Key' to your Cornix bot, by clicking the copy button next to the keys.

After making sure everything is set properly, click the "understood" button.

You are all set!
