How to Choose & Join a Signal Channel

This article will guide you through the process of finding, joining, and connecting a Cornix-supported signal channel to your Signals Bot, including steps to fix common membership errors.

Written by Cristian Marin

A signal channel is a Telegram group where professional traders share their trading setups. By connecting a supported channel to Cornix, your Signals Bot can automatically execute these trades on your behalf. The goal of this article is to show you exactly how to browse the Cornix Marketplace, join a signal channel, and successfully connect it to your account so you can start auto-trading.

How to Find and Join a Signal Channel

  1. Open the Cornix web dashboard or mobile app.

  2. Navigate to the Marketplace tab.

  3. Browse the available signal channels. You can filter the channels by exchange, pricing, and risk level.

  4. Select a channel to review the performance statistics and read user ratings.

  5. Contact the channel administrator to subscribe. You can find their contact details in the Marketplace or directly at cornix.io/partners.

  6. Join the Telegram channel using the invitation link provided by the channel administrator.

πŸ’‘ Note: Subscription payments for paid channels are handled directly with the channel administrator, not through Cornix. Always research the channel to ensure it fits your trading strategy, as not all supported channels are listed on the official Marketplace.

How to Connect the Channel to Your Signals Bot

Once you join the Telegram channel, you need to connect it to your Cornix account.

  1. Open the Cornix dashboard and navigate to the My Groups page.

  2. Locate your new channel in the list of groups.

  3. If the channel does not appear, click the Missing a Group button located at the top right of the screen.

  4. Follow the setup menu prompts to create a new Signals Bot for the channel.

Troubleshooting: "You are not a member of this group" Error

Sometimes, you might receive a "You are not a member of this group" error when trying to activate your Signals Bot for a channel you are already in. This error occurs if the channel is not integrated with Cornix or if the Bot simply needs a forced manual sync.

To resolve this issue:

  1. Navigate to the Telegram channel where you receive the error.

  2. Look for the Cornix follow buttons below the most recent signal messages.

  3. If there are no buttons, the channel is not supported by Cornix, and the bot cannot be activated.

  4. If the buttons are visible, click the Set auto trading button. This will force the connection to refresh and recognize your membership.

⚠️ Important: Cornix only works with signal channels that have properly integrated the Cornix bots. If the Telegram channel does not have the Cornix follow buttons below their signals, you cannot auto-trade their setups. You can contact the channel administrator and ask them to integrate Cornix for free.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Why is my channel not showing up in the Cornix Marketplace? Not all Cornix integrated channels are listed on the public Marketplace. Channel administrators can choose whether to list their channels publicly. You can still use Cornix with an unlisted channel as long as the channel has integrated the Cornix bots.

How do I know if a Telegram channel is supported by Cornix? A supported channel will display three Cornix follow buttons below each signal message: View Signal, One Click Follow, and Set auto trading. If these buttons are missing, the channel is not integrated with Cornix.

What should I do if I renewed my subscription but cannot reactivate my Signals Bot? If your subscription recently lapsed and you rejoined the channel, you might receive an error stating you are not a member when attempting to reactivate your Signals Bot. To resolve this, navigate to the Telegram channel and click the Set auto trading button under a recent signal. This forces a manual sync and will immediately recognize your renewed membership status.
