If you received the notification “You already have 6 trades open for this symbol in this client.” it means that you’ve reached the maximum number of trades that can be opened for the same symbol on that exchange.

The limitation of maximum X trades per symbol, applies “across the board”, meaning for any kind of trade: auto-trading, smart bots and manual trades, regardless of the direction of the open trades (long/ short).

Why This Limitation Exists

Each exchange limits the number of conditional orders that can be placed simultaneously for the same symbol.
Since Cornix creates trades using conditional stop orders, these exchange limits also apply to Cornix trades.

Cornix automatically enforces these limits to prevent errors and unexcpected trades behavior such as stop orders getting cancelled on the exchange, exposing your trades to high risk.

Important Notes

  • This limitation is set in Cornix based on each exchange’s maximum allowed number of conditional orders.

  • There's no option to increase this limit.

  • Once you close an existing trade for the same symbol, you will be able to open a new one.

  • These limits are subject to change if the exchange updates its internal restrictions.
