Understanding Trades vs. Positions

It is important to understand how Cornix handles your trading activity compared to your exchange:

  • Trades (Cornix): You will mostly operate with Trades on the Cornix platform. This gives you the flexibility to open and manage several trades of the exact same symbol at the same time, keeping the orders connected to each separate trade.

  • Positions (Exchange): On the exchange side, you will usually see Positions instead of Trades. This means several trades with the same symbol will be merged and appear as one single position, with an adjusted average entry price.
