Cornix requires access to your exchange account to trade for you. This connection between Cornix to your exchange is called an account (Client).
Creating an account is a simple process that allows Cornix to access your exchange account for trading and viewing purposes only, programmatically via API integration.
This guide assumes that you already have a foundational understanding of what clients and API keys are. If you haven't already done so, please take the time to review the guides that explain what is an account (client) and what is an API Key before proceeding with this guide.
โ
Create an Account through the Cornix web dashboard
Navigate to the 'Account & Groups' tab located on the lower left side of your screen, where a list of your existing accounts will appear as well as the option to 'Create Account'.
Once you proceed to click on 'Create Account', a pop-up will appear where you can choose the desired exchange you wish to connect by opening the drop-down menu.
Proceed to choose your desired exchange:
Quick Connect
Choosing any exchange with the "quick connect" option will automatically create the exchange account while creating encrypted and IP-restricted API keys.
Manual API Creation
If the quick connect option is not available, you can connect to an exchange without it, by choosing the manual method "connect with API keys instead."
โ
Proceed to fill in the following information as shown in the picture below. Please note that the process to generate new API keys may differ slightly depending on the selected exchange.
Click for more information about how to create APIs in different exchanges, or click the "How do I create an API" link below the selected exchange.
Once you click 'Connect' the following pop-up will appear to confirm your action:
You're all set :)
